RE: Half Ton Towing advice

Same story here as well(see sig)......4000 rpm's on most 6% grades and about 2500 rpm's towing on flats out of overdrive. I do have synthetic differential fluid with a deeper cover. Tranny temp as high as 190 degrees on some grades. I believe my halfton makes its peak torque at 4000 rpm's so I let it rev.

Heavy duty brake pads

Hey Guys I need to get new brakepads soon. Are there any heavy duty brake pads out there that are made for towing? Ones that would give me more stopping power for my TV(see sig). Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Gear ratio choices for 2002 chevy 1500

Hey guys I was wondering what gear choices I have to put in my truck? I currently have 3.73s. How low can I go before running into RPM trouble. Can I go lower than 4.10s? If so what ratio and what can I expect performance wise from the new ratio? Thanks

Dumping grey water holding tank

Hey guys We are staying at a campground for 4 days that has hookups but no sewer. The way we take showers, wash hands, and do dishes that grey water holding tank will fill up quick. The campground has a dump site, but I don't want to keep pulling the trailer over there, dump, then setup again and so on and so on. I know you can buy a portable tank to dump with, but those are expensive. Is there anything else I can use to dump only the grey water? Our black should be fine until we leave. I don't want to be the talk of the campground, or get kicked out of it. Is it proper to use anything else besides those portable tanks? Thanks

Whats your routine?

Hey guys, just wanted to get some input on peoples routines. We just got back from camping over the holiday weekend. Once again we forgot stuff :M (dog tiedown,BBQ brush and some other odds and ends). Do you guys use a list,do you buy extra stuff just to leave in your RV/Trailer? If so what? Do people in your family have certain packing responsibility's? Also when you get to your site who does what when unloading and setting up? Thanks

winegard antenna

Hey guys, I have a winegard antenna that came with my used 96 TT. I called their customer service about getting better reception. He suggested getting a new head for the antenna, he gave me a part# RV2005. I cant find this anywhere. Can anyone help me find this? Or is it worth just buying a whole new antenna/dish to get a better picture? All suggestions welcome. Thanks for the help

Ultra Light Trailers

Hey guys I'm in the beginning stages of looking for a new trailer. I'm looking for a trailer 24ft+ and sleeps 4 or more. With a GVWR of about 5000lbs. A walk around queen bed is a must. Can anyone recommend a starting point to start my search? Or better, a make and model of a trailer that fits these requirements. Thanks for your help

RE: XM Radio Question

We bought suruis for our 2 vehicles and a boombox type dock station for the TT. It came with a portable clip on antenna we hang up when we camp. Or we leave the trucks Sirius in the truck, turn it on and sink up the TT radio to the same FM station and use it that way. Hope this helps

LCD TV

Hey guys Just bought a new LCD TV for our trailer. Is there any danger of heat damage from being inside the trailer while its in storage? The trailer is in direct sun all day without a cover. Don't know how hot it gets inside, but with summer coming up it gets in triple digits outside in my neck of the woods. Do I have anything to worry about? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

RE: 1/2 ton Silverado & Jayco Jayflight 22FB?

Sounds good to me. My Tow Vehicle (see sig) has a 8000# rating and we tow a 24ft - 6400LB MAX trailer. Properly set up you will be fine.
